"Some people like to paint pictures, or do gardening, or build a boat in the basement. Other people get a tremendous pleasure out of the kitchen because cooking is just as creative and imaginative an activity as drawing, or wood carving, or music."
Culinary art should not be confined to grown-ups. These days, many kids have started showing their interest in food and cooking. To help them enhance this skill, ileap conducts sessions that take students on a culinary journey. We introduce them to various world cuisines and each student is given a chance to prepare or assemble a hors d'oeuvre or make a dish/dessert to bring home. For example while exploring Italian cuisine students will explore and taste various herbs and cheeses and prepare dishes specific to the cuisine. They also get to explore the fresh taste of the season and discover culinary tips while perfecting gourmet recipes.
Culinary sessions encourage students to create their own recipes and experiment and explore new ingredients. They also learn to appreciate and critique food items from different countries.
